I decided to shoot photos that displayed shadows and light this week. I tried to think of something that had a unique shape, so it would cast cool looking shadows. I found some old nail polish and bracelets, and thought that they casted pretty cool shadows. I set up a desk lamp and learned how to take photos from unique angles to catch the subjects shadow. This is my best photo that I shot. I used the application Photoshop to edit this photo. I used the camera raw filter to fix up this photo. I adjusted the lighting and the clarity.

I went to Jenny's market, which in near downtown Dexter. I took many photos of pumpkins, animals, food, and more. Below, is my best shot. This photo really gives off a fall vibe, and I think the orange is very vibrant in this image. I sharpened the focal point (which is the pumpkin with the fly on it), and I blurred out some of the pumpkins that were not in focus.
Aperture: 5.0 Shutter: 1/1250 ISO: 200 In this assignment, I learned how to use photoshop. I discovered many new ways to edit my photos. Here are some images that display my knowledge of photoshop. The purpose of this assignment was to learn about different composition elements. We were expected to capture photos that contained eleven different elements. We captured the rule of thirds, patterns, symmetry, texture, depth of field, lines, framing, perspective, space, balance, and color. This gallery of pictures are examples of all of those elements. During this assignment, I learned how to capture different composition elements. This assignment helped me realize that it takes a lot more thought when taking pictures. I feel like now I have a better eye, and I'll be able to take more constructive photos. My name is Madison Eastridge. I am seventeen years old and I attend Saline High School. I really enjoy exploring and going on hikes. I also enjoy spending time with friends and family. I am taking digital photography because one of my new hobbies is taking photos and I would like to improve my photo taking skills. I have a little experience because my Dad has taken wedding and sporting event photos, and I have watched him edit them with LightRoom.
